Our Community working together to learn together

About our school...

Opened in March 1909 to serve the village community of Pitsea; the school is an attractive red brick building set in extensive grounds.  The school is divided into seven mixed ability classes, staffed by headteacher and seven full time/two part time teachers and thirteen part-time learning support assistants, a part-time Special Education Needs Co-ordinator, (SENCo).

The school is attached to The Len Wastell Infant School.  The schools share a kitchen where meals are prepared daily.  The Junior School has a multipurpose hall, two playgrounds, a large field used for play and games, two adventure play areas, a well equipped information technology suite, a technology room, a school library and four demountable classrooms.   Children are taken to the local Pitsea Swimming Pool for swimming lessons.
